Tailscale
Tailscale is a private network tool that connects your devices to each other. Join your Rapidbot server to your network and you can reach it over its Tailscale address instead of the public internet.
Setup
Step 1: Generate a Tailscale auth key
Generate an auth key in your Tailscale admin console and copy it. It starts with tskey-auth-, and reusable or single-use both work. Tailscale's documentation on auth keys covers expiry, tags, and the rest of the options.
Step 2: Add it to your server
- Go to your dashboard and find the Tailscale card.
- Paste the auth key.
- Select Configure.
Your server joins your network within a moment, and shows up under your devices in the Tailscale admin console.
If it does not appear there, the key was most likely expired or already used. Generate a fresh one and configure it again, and contact us if the second attempt also fails.
A note on the auth key
We use the key once to join your network and do not keep it afterwards. To re-join later, for example after removing the device, generate a new key and configure it again.
